如何选择麻醉机

关于麻醉机如何选择型号，可以从以下几个方面寻找突破：

1. 实验过程中的动物种类以及实验动物（一只）的重量（比较重要）？

What species are you working with and what is the weight range (very important) of each species? 

如果客户实验过程中涉及到的实验材料（动物）超过4.5kg。需要“rebreathing System”如果≤4.5kg，则选择“non-rebreathing System”

所谓“non-rebreathing System”是指系统能直接将呼出的气体运送到净化系统中，这种类型的麻醉机能去除任何剩余的麻醉气体，因此对环境污染小，另外小动物具有较小的呼吸量，因此即使是非常少量的麻醉气体也是多余的。

对于“rebreathing system”能将呼出的气体进行在循环，这样使得客户可以使用较少量的麻醉气体。

2.一次需要麻醉多少动物？

How many animals are you anesthetizing at once?

目前harvard公司只提供一种适合麻醉多只动物（2，4，6）的多通道的麻醉机，即Muti-station Research Anesthesia System。其他均为单通道系统。

3. 客户实验室现有那些设备

>Do you have any existing equipment?

4.是否需要呼吸系统？

Are you ventilating?

5. 所使用的麻醉气体，（比如说异氟烷，氟烷等）

What anesthesia do you want to use - Isoflurane, Halothane…?

我们知道在不同的实验室可能会使用不同的气体，在美国的许多研究者使用Isoflurane因为这种气体对实验动物的副作用小，而且麻醉后更容易清醒，而在欧洲一些实验者更倾向于Halothane，所以对于麻醉气体的选择可能更重要的还是决定于客户的偏好，当然我们也可以跟他们推荐以上两种。目前harvard列出的共用三种气体，Isoflurane（异氟烷）、  Halothane（氟烷）和Sevoflurane（七氟烷），其中Isoflurane （异氟烷）和Halothane（氟烷)。Harvard提供三种类型的麻醉罐Tech 3, Tech 4 and Ohio。在三种类型的麻醉罐中均可使用，而Sevoflurane（七氟烷）只能在Tech 3 and Tech 4中使用。

注意：Tech 4型号的麻醉罐是一种refurbished vaporizers，只有一年的保修期，麻醉罐是特定的，Isoflurane 只能用在Isoflurane麻醉罐中，Halothane只能用在Halothane麻醉罐中，

客户还需要在Funnel Fill和Key Fill之间做出选择，如果客户希望在实验室中同时实验这两种气体，可以推荐Key Fill version (this also requires the appropriate key fill adapter for the agent bottle - must be ordered separately), 如果客户只是需要一种麻醉气体，则可以推荐Funnel Fill这样可以降低交叉污染

What is the difference between the vaporizers?

6. 需要的是台式机器还是可移动的麻醉机？

>Do you want a table top system or mobile system?

如果客户需要的是一种可移动的系统，可以推荐CDS 2000或者the Vaporstick Plus，客户需要用氧气输送麻醉气体，如果客户倾向于CDS 2000（更加先进，连接有血氧计），可以选择72-2998，如果倾向于Vaporstick Plus model可推荐72-3001

7.是否在使用脑立体定位设备

>Are you using stereotaxic equipment?

对于是否使用脑立体定位设施，需要知道客户是否在麻醉的动物上进行脑部手术。

8. 您希望使用吸气室，面罩还是仅仅需要一个鼻吸呢？

>Do you want to run an induction chamber and to a mask or just a nose cone?

如果客户要释放麻醉气体，可以使用呼吸机输送其他，或者是通过一个a nose cone输送，但是对于大的实验动物（如Cat 或者dog）我们没有足够大的induction chambers（吸气室）满足这种大型动物。

9. 是否有排气系统？

>Do you have an evacuation system?

10. 如果有排气系统，目前使用的是那种排气系统这样方面我们配置合适的仪器。

>If you have an evacuation system, what kind do you currently have so that we can make sure the fittings are acceptable (f/air, fume hood, active system)?

如果顾客需要一个排气系统，*简单的是F/Air canisters（72-1294 for a case of 8 canisters），这是一种负排气装置，通过活性炭过滤废气，如果废气超过50g则需要更换Canister。另外一种排气系统是“active evacuation system"这套系统需要有通风橱或者是ventilation outdoors to vent the waste gas ，如果客户需要这两种设备的话，可以建议使用quote the Active Gas Evacuation System - 72-3064 on page F20.

11. 您希望使用何种压力气体来输送到麻醉机上

>What pressurized gas do you want to use to deliver the anesthesia?
